A rain of goals appeared in the semi-final match of the Hanoi Student Futsal Tournament 2024 on the afternoon of October 20. In the first semi-final match, Hanoi University of Physical Education and Sports was the better team, scoring an early goal thanks to Tran Ngoc Khanh.
The credit for this play goes to Hoang Huu Quang, who fired a powerful shot that the Hanoi Capital University goalkeeper couldn't catch. Ngoc Khanh was there in time to finish off the rebound, opening the score for the red team.
The Hanoi University players came back strongly after conceding a goal, scoring two goals in a row to lead 2-1. However, Hanoi University of Physical Education and Sports regained the lead just before the end of the first half. Nguyen Dac Tung equalized the score at 2-2, before Tran Ngoc Khanh completed his hat-trick with two powerful long-range shots, raising the score to 4-2.

The second half witnessed the demonstration of power of the Pedagogy players, when they scored 3 more goals against goalkeeper Nguyen Chien Thang. The players who scored were Vu Viet Hoang, Vu Hai Tien and Tran Ngoc Khanh. Hanoi Capital University only fought back with 1 goal in the first half, before eventually losing 4-7.
Hanoi University of Physical Education and Sports officially entered its name in the final round of the 2024 Hanoi Region HDBank Student Futsal Tournament despite losing in the opening match.
The second semi-final match also took place with a one-sided game, when the University of Economics and Technology of Industry completely overwhelmed the Hanoi National University. They scored 4 goals against their opponents, in which striker Nguyen Ba Dung scored a hat-trick and Nguyen Van Thiem scored 1 goal. And this was also the final result of the match.
The University of Economics and Technology of Industry won a ticket to the final match of the 2024 Hanoi Regional Student Futsal Tournament with a perfect record. Their opponent was the Hanoi University of Physical Education and Sports.
These two teams met in the group stage, and the University of Economics and Technology won 5-3. This is a great mental advantage for coach Nguyen Anh Tuan and his team.
The final match of the 2024 Hanoi Student Futsal Tournament between Hanoi University of Physical Education and Sports and Hanoi University of Economics and Technology will take place at 5:00 p.m. on October 22, at the Training and Competition Hall of the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture.
