Hanoi Department of Transport has just announced traffic organization adjustments, allowing some vehicles to circulate on Chuong Duong Bridge from January 20.


In order to ensure traffic safety and reduce congestion, the Hanoi Department of Transport allows school buses to travel across Chuong Duong Bridge in both directions. The implementation period starts from 6:00 a.m. on January 20 until further notice.

However, the Hanoi Department of Transport continues to ban passenger cars, contract cars, and tourist cars with more than 9 seats; and ban trucks with a load capacity of more than 0.5 tons from traveling through Chuong Duong Bridge.

Passenger cars, contract cars, tourist cars with more than 9 seats and trucks with a load capacity of over 0.5 tons that need to pass through Chuong Duong bridge must travel via the following bridges: Thanh Tri, Nhat Tan, Vinh Tuy, Thang Long.

The Hanoi Department of Transport requested the Hoan Kiem and Long Bien District Police and local authorities to arrange forces to coordinate with the Hanoi Department of Transport Inspectorate, the Traffic Police Department - Hanoi City Police and related units to regulate and guide traffic flow to avoid traffic congestion.

Relevant units also need to strengthen inspection and handling of violations of traffic safety and urban order on routes and intersections; Monitor and evaluate traffic situations on routes and areas to promptly detect problems and propose appropriate traffic organization adjustments.

Previously, from September 9, the Hanoi Department of Transport banned all vehicles from traveling through Chuong Duong Bridge, except buses.
