Israel exported a record $12.56 billion worth of defense products last year, with new Arab partners under the US-sponsored 2020 Abraham Accords accounting for nearly a quarter of the export market share, the Israeli Defense Ministry said on June 13.

The 2022 figure marks a 50% increase from three years ago and doubles the number from a decade ago, the ministry said.

Drones will account for 25% of exports in 2022, while missiles, rockets or air defense systems will account for 19%.

Although it did not name specific customers, the ministry said that 24% of Israel's defense exports were to countries in the Abraham Accords.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain are signatories to those agreements, and Israel also often considers Morocco and Sudan to be part of them.

Notably, Asia and the Pacific account for 30% of Israel's defense exports , while Europe accounts for 29% and North America accounts for 11%./.
