4 construction companies banned from bidding by Khanh Hoa due to fraud

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee banned 4 construction companies from participating in bidding for projects using state budget capital for fraudulent behavior.

On February 14, speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ha - Chief of Office of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee - said that the Provincial People's Committee has issued a decision to ban participation in bidding activities within 3 years for business investment projects and procurement estimates using budget capital invested by agencies and units under Khanh Hoa province for four companies operating in the construction sector.

The four banned companies include: Viet Quang Construction Joint Stock Company No. 1, Duc Tin Construction Design Company Limited, Cultural, Sports and Tourism Construction Joint Stock Company, and BHT Tay Son Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company.

The reason for the ban is that the above companies have committed "fraudulent" acts according to the provisions of Point a, Clause 4, Article 16, Law on Bidding, related to the project to restore and embellish the Dien Khanh ancient citadel relic.

Specifically, the Cultural, Sports and Tourism Construction Joint Stock Company dishonestly declared that the key person implementing the project was Mr. Phan Van Tue.

Mr. Tue claimed to have a diploma from Hanoi University of Construction, however, the school confirmed that it did not issue the diploma as the documents sent for verification.

Viet Quang Construction Joint Stock Company No. 1 (headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City) made dishonest declarations about the key personnel implementing the project, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Nam.

The company claimed that Mr. Nam had a degree from the University of Technology - Danang University, but the school confirmed that it did not grant him a university degree.

Duc Tin Construction Design Company Limited violated the law when declaring that the key person implementing the project, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet Cang, had a degree from the University of Mining and Geology.

However, through verification, this school confirmed that it did not grant a university degree to Ms. Cang.

Meanwhile, BHT Tay Son Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company declared errors in the inspection certificate of construction equipment.

The project to restore and embellish the Dien Khanh ancient citadel relic has a budget of nearly 167 billion VND, with an investment scale of 12 items, including the restoration and preservation of the original 2,500m long earthen citadel, the citadel top is more than 4m wide, the brick-paved walkway is 2.6m wide...
