Along with the Dien Bien Phu Victory on May 7, 1954, the negotiation and signing of the Geneva Agreement 70 years ago, on July 21, 1954, was not only a historical milestone for our nation, but also had great and profound contemporary significance. President Ho Chi Minh assessed that “The Geneva Conference has ended. Our diplomacy has achieved great victory”. The process of negotiating, signing and implementing the Geneva Agreement is a valuable handbook on the Vietnamese school of foreign affairs and diplomacy . The achievement of the Geneva Agreement in 1954 was a great victory for our army and people.
