Immediately after the match, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) could not hide their admiration, sharing an emotional status: "What could be sweeter than the victory of U23 Vietnam against U23 Indonesia right at Gelora Bung Karno!!! Congratulations to coach Kim Sang Sik and his team."
The final match was full of tension as both teams started cautiously, neither wanting to make a mistake. However, the temperature on the field quickly rose due to fierce collisions, causing Indonesia to receive two yellow cards in just the first 15 minutes.
In the 36th minute, the turning point came from Dinh Bac's corner kick, creating an opportunity for Cong Phuong to unleash a dangerous volley, bringing home the only goal of the match.

Despite their efforts in the second half, the home team could not penetrate Vietnam's steely defense. The narrow victory helped coach Kim Sang Sik and his team achieve an unprecedented feat: winning the U23 Southeast Asian Championship three times in a row.
