On the morning of August 1, Phu Loc Traffic Police Station - Traffic Police Department of Hue City Police said that it is coordinating with other units to investigate and clarify the cause of the accident that caused a sleeper bus to burn to the frame on the La Son - Tuy Loan highway.
Initial information, on the same morning, the sleeper bus with license plate of Dak Lak province was traveling in the South - North direction. When the bus reached KM26 + 900 on the La Son - Tuy Loan highway (section through Khe Tre commune, Hue city), people sitting on the bus smelled a burning smell and smoke.
The driver pulled the car into the emergency lane, stopped to check and discovered smoke coming from the cargo compartment underneath the car.
Immediately, the driver asked everyone on board to leave the bus. Shortly after, a fire broke out in the cargo compartment of the bus and quickly spread, burning the bus. Fortunately, the driver and everyone on board discovered the incident early, so there were no casualties.
At the scene, the passenger bus was burned black, only the frame was left, and smoke billowed.
Upon receiving the news, traffic police, fire police and local forces quickly arrived at the scene to direct traffic, extinguish the fire and investigate the cause of the fire.
