People take to the streets to parade
Along Dien Bien route, Nghia Lo town, 350 artisans and extras participated in the performance of 7 typical cultural features of the ethnic groups: Kinh, Thai, Muong, Mong, Tay, Dao and Kho Mu. This is one of the main activities of the festival.

Street performance is a combination of folk and modern art, expressing the unique cultural values of ethnic groups living in Muong Lo land.
Associated with the brand of Muong Lo Cultural and Tourism Festival for many years, the street parade program has always received the anticipation and response of local people and tourists.
The colorful cultural space is recreated in the parade.
The groups performed in ethnic costumes, demonstrating the typical cultural values of each ethnic group through performances and folk dances to traditional music, performing through the main streets of Nghia Lo town, creating a colorful picture of ethnic culture, a vibrant atmosphere, attracting participants.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan, Chairman of Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee said: "The opening ceremony of the Muong Lo Cultural Tourism Festival 2023 - one of the annual events, has become a typical cultural tourism product, carrying the unique identity and brand of Nghia Lo town, Yen Bai ".

Coming to the Muong Lo Cultural and Tourism Festival this year, people and tourists will be able to visit and enjoy the colorful cultural space of the Yen Bai Ethnic Culture Festival; Experience folk games; Paragliding, immersing themselves in the autumn colors and scenery of Muong Lo valley along with many attractive and unique activities about the strong vitality and strong spread of Thai Xoe Art, a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity recognized by UNESCO.
In particular, at this Festival, people and tourists will be able to visit the space to promote and introduce historical relics and cultural heritages of the thousand-year-old civilized city of Hanoi - as a meaningful gift to people and tourists from near and far during the days of experience on Muong Lo land, creating a cultural bridge, to better understand and love the homeland, country and people of Vietnam.
Chapter I - "About the heritage land" outlines the stories and famous places of Yen Bai province.
The art program with the theme "Muong Lo - Heritage Land", includes 3 parts: "About the heritage land"; "Muong Lo dance"; "Dai xoe linking arms", praising the beauty of Nghia Lo - Muong Lo, a land rich in cultural traditions, the land of many festivals.

The most impressive part is part 3 with the theme "Dai Xoe linking arms". This is a performance of Thai Xoe art - a spiritual symbol with unique folk cultural values, expressing the strong vitality and solidarity of the Northwest ethnic community, attracting the participation of over 2,000 artisans and mass actors, creating images: primitive Xoe rings, hot-slat patterns (symbolizing the traditional weaving profession of the ethnic groups), brocade patterns, traditional stilt houses, and Ban flowers.
