On the evening of June 25, two former Manchester United players, Wes Brown and Teddy Sheringham, arrived in Da Nang to attend the VUFF 2025 event.
In addition, two Manchester United legends, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes, will also not be able to come to Da Nang as originally planned due to international flight problems. The organizers said they will discuss with fans who have purchased tickets to resolve the issue and have a satisfactory answer.
In addition, the Organizing Committee also confirmed that the two legends will still be fully present in the friendly football match between the Vietnamese star team and Manchester Reds taking place at Hoa Xuan Stadium on June 27 and Fan Zone on June 28.
The organizers said they had received an official video from Giggs and Scholes, in which they expressed regret and apologized to the Vietnamese audience.
In the announcement, the Organizing Committee expressed its understanding of the disappointment from fans, especially those who care about international artists and players. However, the Organizing Committee affirmed that all main activities within the framework of the VUFF 2025 event will still take place as planned. The remaining legends and a series of performances, exchanges, music , gifts... are still being carefully prepared to bring the most complete experience.

From June 26 to 29, Da Nang City will host the Vietnam - UK Football Festival with the theme "The Red Dream".
The highlight of this year's festival is the presence of former players and living legends who made Manchester United famous such as Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Michael Owen, Wes Brown, Teddy Sheringham and many other teammates.
A special highlight of the festival is the friendly football match between the Vietnamese all-star team and Manchester Reds taking place at Hoa Xuan Stadium on June 27.
