Accordingly, the hospital has coordinated with consultants from the Joint Commission on Patient Safety (JCI) to conduct training on the contents of the program for preventing the risk of infection and medication errors in intravenous therapy (PRIME).

Specifically, the program aims at patient safety by updating and training medical staff, especially nurses, on knowledge and practice standards, to prevent medication errors and infectious complications for patients in intravenous therapy.

After 6 months of implementation in 12 clinical departments, the program has directly trained the first 50 core nurses in the departments, and achieved outstanding results.

Ms. Jessica Jordan - JCI advisor for the PRIME program - highly appreciated the working spirit of the team of doctors and nurses at Military Hospital 175.

Thanks to the harmonious coordination between the training team and the nursing team, along with the seriousness in training management and evaluation, the hospital has achieved a very high level of treatment quality, as well as safety assurance for medical staff.

Major General Tran Quoc Viet - Director of Military Hospital 175 - said that the hospital has always strived to improve the quality of treatment and patient care services over the years.

In 2024, the implementation of procedures related to drug administration and intravenous line management with the PRIME program is considered one of the key tasks.
