Binh Thuan: Urgent support for search for missing fishermen at sea

The Office of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Binh Thuan province has just informed about a worker on a fishing boat who lost contact at sea.

Specifically, at around 4:00 a.m. on March 27, fishing boat BTh 83091 TS, owned and captained by Mr. Tran Van Liem (born in 1969, permanent residence: Ngu Phung commune, Phu Quy district, Binh Thuan province), departed from Lang Co beach, Tam Thanh commune, Phu Quy island district (Binh Thuan) to exploit seafood about 5 nautical miles south of Phu Quy island.

However, at noon of the same day, the family tried to contact Mr. Liem but could not (suspecting that Mr. Liem had fallen into the sea), so they went to the Phu Quy Port Border Guard Station to report and assist in the search.
It is known that the fishing boat BTh 83091 TS has a capacity of 22 CV, length of 6.7m, fishing. The fishing boat usually goes fishing during the day. Identification characteristics of the missing fisherman: male, about 1.62m tall, thin body; wearing a dark gray long-sleeved T-shirt, green elastic pants.

The weather in the area where the fishing boat lost contact is currently Northeast wind level 5, gusting to level 6; waves from 1.5 to 2.0m high. To urgently search for the missing fishermen, the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue requested the Provincial Border Guard Command to continue monitoring and directing Border Guard stations and Squadron 2 to notify boat owners and fishermen operating near the area with the above coordinates, and coordinate to support the search and rescue of the victims.

Phan Thiet Coastal Information Station and Binh Thuan Maritime Port Authority broadcast search and rescue information to ships and boats in the area or passing by the above location to increase observation and support the search for victims.
