Ministry of Foreign Affairs sends condolences on bus overturn at Khanh Le Pass

At the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the afternoon of July 20, answering reporters' questions about the work to overcome the consequences of the accident at Khanh Le Pass (Khanh Hoa), which killed 4 Chinese people and injured many others, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Pham Thu Hang said that units have created favorable conditions for families to quickly approach the injured victims, carry out related procedures for the deceased victims; organize visits, support and encourage the families of the victims.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is actively coordinating with domestic authorities, Khanh Hoa province and the Chinese representative agency in Vietnam to handle related issues and support the funeral of the deceased citizens in accordance with the law," said Ms. Hang. According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a representative of the Chinese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City was present in Khanh Hoa , coordinating with the Department of Foreign Affairs to resolve the incident, ensuring the rights of Chinese citizens in Vietnam. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also sent its deepest condolences to the relatives of the victims.

Also at the press conference, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs answered reporters' questions about the information that the Vietnamese passport ranked 82nd out of 199 countries and territories in the world in the "Hanley Passport Index". Ms. Pham Thu Hang affirmed that up to now, citizens holding Vietnamese passports can enter 55 destinations in the world without a visa or have simplified procedures such as electronic procedures or visa issuance at the border gate. In addition, Vietnam has and will continue to propose to consider simplifying visa procedures or visa exemption for Vietnamese citizens entering partner countries during meetings; thereby creating favorable conditions for Vietnamese citizens and trading countries to travel.
