Reply:

Canker sores are small ulcers that appear singly or in clusters on the gums, lips, tongue, inner cheeks or roof of the mouth. Most cases of canker sores heal on their own within 1-2 weeks. The disease causes discomfort and pain when eating, drinking, swallowing saliva, and communicating.

There are many causes of mouth ulcers such as gum problems, viral infections, vitamin B12 deficiency or iron deficiency. Crohn's disease, Celiac disease, reactive arthritis, weakened immune system, stress, hormonal changes, unhealthy diet, also cause small ulcers in the mouth.

The habit of eating "indiscriminately" with many salty, spicy, greasy, and sweet dishes during Tet is also a common cause of mouth ulcers in many people.

To prevent mouth ulcers, you should clean your mouth by brushing your teeth twice a day, combined with flossing to ensure your mouth is always clean.

During Tet, you should limit spicy, greasy, and salty foods. These foods can easily cause mouth ulcers and make existing ulcers worse and spread throughout the mouth.

You can add light, soft dishes, rich in fiber and vitamins, drink plenty of water, help prevent mouth ulcers as well as improve ulcers more effectively. Add fruits such as guava, papaya, tomato, orange, kiwi, strawberry, pear, apple to beautify the skin and cool the body.

These days, you should limit alcohol and caffeine because they can easily irritate the skin and mucous membranes, slowing down the recovery process of damage caused by mouth ulcers. Drink enough water (over two liters of water per day) to purify the body, eliminate excess toxins, and prevent mouth ulcers. In addition to filtered water, you can add cool drinks such as pennywort juice, lemon juice, orange juice, grapefruit juice, and coconut water.
