In the afternoon, the yard of the communal house of Ia Nueng village (Bien Ho commune) resounded with the laughter of children, the cheers of enthusiastic football matches. The women took the opportunity to exercise, clean the village roads and alleys after a day of work. Mr. Thien, Head of Ia Nueng village, excitedly shared: The people responded very positively to the movement to build a cultural village. Not only cleaning the environment, beautifying the village roads, everyone also united to maintain security and order, building a civilized lifestyle. The courtyard of the communal house of the village was renovated, more trees were planted, stone benches were placed... attracting many people to participate in community activities, organize meetings, activities of brocade weaving clubs, gongs, xoang dances...
In the border commune of Ia O, inter-village roads have been concreted, with colorful flowers planted on both sides and electric lights at night. The “3 clean” model (clean house, clean kitchen, clean alley) has been deployed by the Women’s Union of the commune for members to seriously implement, and the situation of littering has gradually disappeared.
Mr. Siu Nghiep, Vice Chairman of Ia O Commune People's Committee, said: "Thanks to regular propaganda work, people have understood and voluntarily joined hands to build a cultural living environment. Thereby, both improving the quality of life and preserving traditional identity, creating a new face for the border commune."
Not only protecting the environment and beautifying the landscape, many localities also promote the building of cultural families. In Ia Hrung commune, hundreds of households pledge not to violate the law, not to commit social evils, not to commit domestic violence, and to promote the spirit of mutual support in production and daily life. Thanks to that, the rate of households achieving the title of cultural family in the commune remains above 95%.
The movement of cultural villages, hamlets and residential groups has also become a great driving force for people to preserve and promote traditional cultural values. In Ia Dok commune, hamlets and villages regularly organize traditional festivals, great solidarity days, sports and art exchanges.
Mr. Siu Luynh, Secretary of the Party Committee of Ia Dok commune, said: "These activities not only unite the community but also arouse national pride, contributing to preserving the unique cultural values of ethnic minorities."
Many localities have flexibly integrated and linked the criteria on housing, environment, and quality of life of the new rural construction program with the movement of the People's solidarity to build a cultural life, creating a widespread influence and achieving sustainable results. Ms. Le Thi Thu Huong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism , said: Building cultural villages, hamlets, and residential groups is not only about recognizing the title and attaching signs, but also maintaining and continuously improving the quality; encouraging people to propose new models and creative ways of doing things suitable to the characteristics of each locality. In fact, many hamlets and villages have established self-managed security teams, environmental protection teams, and mass art troupes; these models have strengthened cohesion, while also contributing to the development of community tourism and cultural tourism.
“It can be said that the movement to build cultural villages, hamlets, and residential groups is truly breathing new life into all the countryside areas of Gia Lai . Each clean and beautiful road, each colorful flower garden… contributes to changing the face of the countryside, while clearly demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, sense of responsibility, and pride of the people in joining hands to build and develop their homeland,” Ms. Huong emphasized.
