On the evening of July 6, according to Nguoi Dua Tin's source, at around 7:30 p.m., barge numbered NB-6759 crashed into Quay Bridge in Le Chan District, Hai Phong City, causing minor damage to the railway bridge. According to records, the railing was broken and the railway rails on the bridge were shifted.

After this collision, the Quay Bridge Management Board informed the Hai Phong Railway Transport Branch to block the railway line to prevent trains from crossing the bridge. The Hanoi - Hai Phong train then had to stop to drop off passengers at Thuong Ly station instead of Hai Phong station as scheduled.

According to information from the Hai Phong Railway Transport Branch, to facilitate passengers, the unit arranged vehicles to take those in need from Thuong Ly station to Hai Phong station.

At the same time, all passengers are informed that the Hai Phong - Hanoi train on the early morning of July 7 will depart from Thuong Ly station instead of Hai Phong station. The unit is currently waiting for information from the Quay Bridge repair team to notify passengers further.

Currently, Hai Phong City authorities are investigating and clarifying this incident. At the same time, they are urgently repairing it to soon bring the Hai Phong - Hanoi railway back to normal operation.

According to people present at the scene of the accident, when the barge turned under the bridge, the water level rose. This may have been the reason why the barge collided with the bridge .
