In the 81st minute, another home player, Santiago Gimenez also scored an own goal, helping Atletico secure a 3-1 victory.
After the win in the Netherlands, Atletico tops Group E of the Champions League and has secured a place in the last 16. The Spanish side have 11 points after five games, one more than Lazio and five more than Feyenoord. Lazio have also qualified, while Feyenoord have been relegated to the Europa League.
