President of Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen pays tribute to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and revolutionary contributors in Gia Lai

(GLO)- On the afternoon of July 27, on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyen - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the Vietnam Women's Union visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and families of policy beneficiaries in Gia Lai province.

Also attending was Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Ngoc Luong.

Accordingly, the delegation visited and presented gifts to two Vietnamese Heroic Mothers Le Thi Cam (100 years old) and Le Thi Khuong (94 years old) in Quy Nhon ward. At the families visited, President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen kindly asked about the living conditions and health of the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and expressed deep gratitude for the contributions of the Mothers and their families to the cause of national liberation.

The President of the Vietnam Women's Union hopes that families will continue to actively contribute to the development of their homeland; at the same time, she requested that local Party committees and authorities continue to pay attention, care for, and better implement policies for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and families of meritorious service beneficiaries in the province.

During the visit to Gia Lai province, President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen and the delegation also visited the provincial Center for Care and Nursing for Meritorious People; laid flowers at the Nguyen Sinh Sac-Nguyen Tat Thanh Monument and visited the Quy Nhon Martyrs Cemetery.

On this occasion, the President of the Vietnam Women's Union also presented 30 gifts (VND 1 million/gift) to families of war invalids, martyrs, and people with revolutionary contributions in the province.
