National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and his wife successfully concluded their official visit to Japan.

According to the special correspondent of VNA, on the evening of December 7, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and his wife Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga, along with a high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly, arrived in Hanoi , successfully concluding an official visit to Japan at the invitation of President of the Japanese House of Councilors Sekiguchi Masakazu and his wife.

During the visit, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with the Emperor and Empress of Japan, Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru; held talks with Senate President Sekiguchi Masakazu and House of Representatives Speaker Nukaga Fukushiro. Notably, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and Senate President Sekiguchi Masakazu signed a cooperation agreement between the Vietnamese National Assembly and the House of Councilors of Japan. This is a very important premise to promote the relationship between the two legislative bodies to new heights in the coming years.

In an open and friendly atmosphere, the two sides expressed their delight at the fact that the Vietnam-Japan relationship continues to achieve outstanding and substantive results in economic, trade, investment, labor, human resource training, cultural and people-to-people exchanges, and local connections between the two countries.

The leaders of the two countries agreed to increase exchanges and contacts between parliamentarians, especially young and female parliamentarians of the two countries; further promote the important bridging role of the Friendship Parliamentary Union in promoting people-to-people exchanges, business cooperation and cooperation between localities; continue to promote exchanges and experience sharing between specialized committees; coordinate to perfect institutions and policies, build a legal corridor to support businesses of the two countries to expand cooperation and investment in each country.

In Tokyo and Nagasaki Prefecture, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man received Chairman of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians' Union Nikai Toshihiro; leaders of major Japanese political parties; Chairman of the Japan People's Council for the Promotion of Foreign Affairs (FEC) Ken Matsuzawa; leaders of several large Japanese corporations and enterprises; and governors of several localities with close relations with Vietnam. On behalf of the Party and State leaders, the National Assembly Chairman presented the Third-class Labor Medal of the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Chairman of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians' Union Nikai Toshihiro and the Friendship Medal to Governor of Kanagawa Prefecture Kuroiwa Yuji.

On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with officials from the Vietnamese Embassy in Tokyo, the Vietnamese Consulate General in Fukuoka and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Japan; witnessed the handover ceremony of cooperation documents between localities and businesses of the two countries; attended the ceremony to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the opening of the Vietnam - Japan direct flight route...

With a variety of practical activities, the official visit to Japan by National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and his wife was a great success, creating a new momentum for the strong development of the relationship between the two countries. The results of the visit not only contributed to promoting bilateral diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan, but also strengthened connections and promoted substantive cooperation between Vietnamese localities and Japanese localities, bringing specific benefits to the people and business communities of the two countries. In particular, the visit once again affirmed Vietnam's importance to the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia and the world with Japan.
