Mr. Song Yang-hoon, Agricultural Expert, Head of the Feasibility Survey Team of the Rural Development Project of Tuyen Quang Province, spoke at the meeting.
At the reception, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Son affirmed that over the past 30 years, the cooperative relationship between Tuyen Quang province and Korea has been increasingly strengthened and expanded. Along with that good relationship, Tuyen Quang province has received attention, assistance and support from the Korean Government through a number of organizations such as KOICA, KEXIM and the Korean business community.
Comrade Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee received a delegation from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Vietnam working in the province.
Currently, the province has 7 projects of Korean investors with a total investment capital of over 36 million USD. Tuyen Quang province also has good relations with some localities of Korea such as: Anseong city, Gyeonggi province; Imsil district, Jeonbuk province;….. In addition, the province always receives non-refundable aid sponsored by Korean organizations and individuals, worth about 634 thousand USD.
During the 2019-2024 period, KOICA has provided Tuyen Quang province with 15 million USD to implement the Rural Development Program project, and 1 million USD to implement the project to enhance investment efficiency and maintain sustainable development of the Rural Development Program project. In particular, last September, Tuyen Quang province suffered heavy damage due to the impact of storm No. 3 (Yagi), KOICA officially announced to support the province with 1 million USD. This is a large resource to support the province to quickly rebuild and overcome the consequences after the storm.
Comrade Nguyen Van Son, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presented a Tinh lute to Mr. Song Yang Hoon.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Son hopes that Tuyen Quang province will continue to receive support from the Korean Government and KOICA in the coming years to implement the project "Sustainable agricultural and rural development" to help Tuyen Quang people develop sustainable agricultural production, improve income and living standards.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Son thanked Mr. Song Yang Hoon and through him, sent thanks to the Korean Government, KOICA in Vietnam and Korean agencies and organizations for their attention, support and assistance to Tuyen Quang province.
At the meeting, Mr. Song Yang Hoon highly appreciated the implementation of projects supported by the Korean Government and KOICA in recent years in Tuyen Quang; continued to support Tuyen Quang province in the coming years, especially supporting the province to implement the Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development Project, KOICA will focus on the agricultural sector, the scale of this project is up to 30 million USD.

This support will make a difference, implementing many projects to develop agricultural production for the people and hopefully help people develop production and increase income. KOICA hopes to receive enthusiastic cooperation and support in all aspects from Tuyen Quang province.
