Male student beaten by two classmates in the classroom - Photo cut from clip
On October 12, Mr. Tran Xuan Bach, principal of Bac Son Secondary and High School (Tuyen Hoa, Quang Binh ), confirmed that local police are investigating the case of a male student who was beaten in class by two classmates and had to be hospitalized.
"As soon as the incident occurred, the school took notice and worked with the students and their families, and reported it to the police for coordination. Currently, the police are working and have not yet had any specific results," said Mr. Bach.
Previously, social networks in Quang Binh spread a clip of a male student being beaten up by two other people in the classroom. The clip made the online community angry because of the aggressiveness of the two people who committed the violent act.
The school identified the beaten male student as BVK, an 11th grader at the school. The two people who assaulted K. were 11th graders at the same school.
K.'s family said that after being beaten, K. had symptoms of headache, dizziness and nausea. The family had to take K. to the hospital for treatment.
At the hospital, K. was diagnosed with multiple injuries due to impact on many areas of the body.
K.'s family also said that K. had been threatened with beatings many times before, so he wanted to drop out of school. The family encouraged K. to continue trying to go to class.
"We hope that the authorities will handle the case seriously so that similar cases of school violence do not happen again," said K.'s sister.
