On the afternoon of October 16, at Dak Nong Provincial Police, authorized by the Minister of Public Security, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long, Deputy Minister of Public Security, announced the decision of the Minister of Public Security on the transfer and appointment of Colonel Ho Song An (born in 1978, from Quang Nam ), Deputy Director of Quang Nam Provincial Police to take up the position of Director of Dak Nong Provincial Police.

At the decision-giving ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long, Deputy Minister of Public Security, emphasized: "Comrade Ho Song An's appointment to the position of Director of Dak Nong Provincial Police demonstrates the trust of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security and Dak Nong Province.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long requested the new Director of Dak Nong Provincial Police to promptly accept the handover, together with the Party Committee and leaders of Dak Nong Provincial Police to promote the tradition of solidarity and unity, and perform well the advisory work for local Party Committees and authorities to lead and direct the implementation of maintaining political security, social order and safety, creating a stable environment for local socio-economic development.
Receiving the new assignment, Colonel Ho Song An, the new Director of Dak Nong Provincial Police, accepted the direction and sent his sincere and deepest thanks to the Central Public Security Party Committee, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council, the People's Committee of Dak Nong province and the police forces of Quang Nam and Dak Nong provinces.
