The Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security is verifying the case of a car going the wrong way on the Hanoi - Hai Phong highway.

On the evening of August 25, social networks shared a video recording the image of a car going in the wrong direction on the Hanoi - Hai Phong highway, passing through the Vinhomes Ocean Park 2 urban area.

At this time, it was dark outside, the driver of the car with a dash cam, when he discovered a car going in the opposite direction, quickly turned the wheel to avoid an unfortunate accident. "I hope the people behind me can avoid it in time," the driver shared.

The clip has angered many people because of the driver's disregard for traffic laws and the lives of other road users. The driver brazenly drove into the 120km/h lane, which is the fastest lane on the Hanoi - Hai Phong highway. Furthermore, because it was dark, other vehicles would have difficulty seeing the danger. The online community believes that if an accident were to occur, it would be very serious, so this driver needs to be severely punished.

According to regulations, driving in the wrong direction on the highway will result in a fine of 16-18 million VND and a driver's license suspension for 5-7 months.
