Da Nang reviews the situation of "inflating" construction sand prices

DNO - Before the information that construction sand prices are higher than announced, the Department of Construction requested mining and supply units to report on licensing status and selling prices before July 22.

On the morning of July 18, the Department of Construction said it had requested construction sand mining and supply units to report on licensed construction sand reserves, remaining sand reserves at the mine, and the sales situation and selling prices of construction sand materials.

According to the Department of Construction, project investors and construction contractors in Da Nang city reported that the current price of construction sand is higher than the announced price (the price provided by the People's Committee of the district before the merger).

In some cases, mining units do not sell directly to construction contractors but through intermediaries or sell but do not issue payment invoices.

In order to have a basis for synthesizing reports to remove obstacles regarding sand scarcity, inappropriate selling prices (if any) as well as propose solutions, the Department of Construction requests units exploiting and supplying construction sand materials to report related contents to the department before July 22, 2025.

Units providing information on licensing and exploitation, the situation of material sales to contractors constructing projects in Da Nang city; reviewing to ensure that the proposed announced price is consistent with the market price, the direct selling price to the buyer; providing notice of receipt of the conformity declaration dossier from the competent authority and personal information of the unit representative.

The Department of Construction requests that construction material suppliers seriously fulfill their obligations. of organizations and individuals trading in goods and services as prescribed by law.

The Department of Construction continues to monitor, coordinate with relevant agencies, and report to competent authorities to strictly handle each case of intentionally pushing up market prices, announced prices not matching actual selling prices, inappropriate business activities... affecting the construction progress of construction projects.
