That is the information announced by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quang Lich, Head of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology - Hue University at the opening ceremony of the 2024 - 2025 school year and the 5th anniversary of its establishment (October 24, 2019 - October 24, 2024).
In the 2024-2025 school year, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology - Hue University welcomed more than 200 new students who were admitted and enrolled in 5 currently "hot" training majors: automotive engineering technology, data science and artificial intelligence, automatic control engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, and construction engineering.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quang Lich said that with the attention and direction of Hue University, the support of experts and the trust of partner organizations and businesses, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology set out the task of pioneering training in new technology fields in the Central region and the whole country in the new school year.

The Faculty of Engineering and Technology also promotes business cooperation according to the 4-4-2 training model to gradually realize research and training results into technological products applied in practice; maintaining the goal and mission of training high-quality human resources in pioneering fields such as: electric car technology, artificial intelligence, data science, microchip and semiconductor design technology, electronics, automation.
On this occasion, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology - Hue University commended and awarded scholarships to students with excellent academic achievements in the 2023 - 2024 school year and honored the top students with scholarships from the faculty and the "HUET Talent Support" Scholarship Fund sponsored by businesses.
At the opening ceremony, the "HUET Talent Support" Scholarship Fund received nearly 100 million VND more from Thua Thien - Hue Construction Joint Stock Company and Fukuhaku Printing Company, Japan.
On this occasion, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology was awarded the emulation flag and certificate of merit by the Ministry of Education and Training and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien - Hue province for its outstanding achievements in 5 years of operation.

"The key task for the next 5 years is to continue to promote all resources, boost investment in facilities, increase enrollment scale as well as enrollment quality. Develop strongly in science and technology transfer to implement the resolution of the Hue University Party Committee to develop the Faculty of Engineering and Technology into the University of Engineering and Technology under Hue University by 2025 and a member university of Hue University by 2030," said Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quang Lich.
