Dien Bien announces outdoor advertising planning

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vu A Bang presented the planning decision and assigned the task of organizing the implementation of the planning to the leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

In Decision No. 1175/QD-UBND, dated June 25, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee on approving the outdoor advertising planning in Dien Bien province until 2030, with a vision to 2035, clearly identified locations for political propaganda activities, serving social interests and commercial advertising. Determine the location, style, size, material, and quantity of advertising media on national highways, provincial roads, district roads, in inner cities and towns. At the same time, clearly state the areas where advertising is not allowed and areas where advertising is restricted.

Accordingly, a total of 2,681 locations in 10 districts, towns and cities have been identified to form propaganda points, propaganda points combined with advertising. To effectively implement the planning, ensuring the set goals and tasks, the Provincial People's Committee has divided the implementation roadmap. From the 1st to the 12th month: Disseminate, guide implementation; review, rearrange, and dismantle propaganda and advertising locations that are not in accordance with the planning; maintain and repair propaganda signs in use to meet requirements; develop a plan to call for socialization to submit to the province for consideration... From the time the planning is approved to 2030: Socialize the installation of a system of propaganda signs combined with advertising, exploit the locations in the planning according to regulations.

The approval and announcement of the planning aims to form a synchronous propaganda system, serving political tasks; completing the outdoor advertising board system in accordance with regulations, ensuring safety, aesthetics, and promoting local socio -economic development.
