A lecturer at the National Defense and Security Education Center of Hai Phong University was suspended after a female student accused him of phone harassment.
Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam, Principal of Hai Phong University, said on the evening of June 24 that the school will investigate and verify the incident.
Previously, many articles and 7 videos were circulated on social networks accusing a male lecturer of the school of calling and talking to female students using vulgar language, sexually harassing.
According to shared information, the harassed female student is a second-year student, participating in this military training session with 134 other students at the center for three weeks, ending on June 17. The informant said that the truth needs to be exposed so that future courses do not encounter similar cases.

The Center for National Defense and Security Education for Students of Hai Phong University was established in 2003. This is a place for studying and training in national defense education for students of universities, colleges, and vocational high schools in provinces and cities in Military Region III (Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Ha Nam).
Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam, Principal of Hai Phong University, is also the director of this center. The center currently has 6 student management companies.
