Vietnamese boys won silver medal in men's 4-person team event

Earlier that morning, the Vietnamese Sepak Takraw team entered the final match of the men's 4-a-side event against Japan. Although Japan had a strong start and easily won the first set, the Vietnamese team showed resilience in the second set when they led 8-6. However, Japan played excellently to come back and win this set. Although they could not win the championship, the silver medal was still very commendable as the boys had previously defeated host Thailand in the semi-finals.
