Vietnam men's volleyball team defeated Thailand for the second time at SEA V.League

VHO - Coach Tran Dinh Tien and his team continued to have a successful match in the second round of the 2025 Southeast Asian Men's Volleyball Championship (SEA V.League 2025) when they defeated the defending champion Thailand.

On the evening of July 18 (local time) in Jakarta (Indonesia), the Vietnamese team entered the third match of the second leg of SEA V.League 2025 against Thailand, the team that just won the first leg and is also the champion in 2024.

Vietnam team beat Thailand again

In the first leg, coach Tran Dinh Tien's students excellently defeated Thailand 3-1 and in this rematch, they continued to "sow sorrow" for the Thai people with a top performance.

The coordination and effectiveness in both attack and defense helped the Vietnamese team win the first set with a score of 25-19.

However, Thailand fought back in set 2 and won 25-16.

The two teams continued to compete for points in the following sets. The Vietnamese team won 25-21 in set 3, before Thailand equalized the match with a 25-19 victory in set 4.

In the decisive set 5, the brilliance of the two main attackers Ngoc Thuan and Trong Nghia along with a series of effective serves helped the Vietnamese team take the lead and end the match with a 15-11 victory.

Winning 3-2 (25-19, 16-25, 25-21, 19-25, 15-11), the Vietnamese team has defeated Thailand twice in a row at SEA V.League 2025.

In the final match of stage 2 on July 20, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team will meet the Philippines.
