Vietnam men's volleyball team competes in stage 1 of SEA V.League 2025

VHO - The Vietnamese men's volleyball team has arrived in the Philippines to prepare to compete in the first round of the 2025 Southeast Asian Men's Volleyball Championship (SEA V.League 2025), starting on July 9.

SEA V.League is the third international tournament in 2025 of the Vietnam men's volleyball team.

Previously in May, coach Tran Dinh Tien and his team participated in the Asian Men's Club Tournament, then the Asian Volleyball Cup - AVC Challenge Cup in June.

In the first round of SEA V.League 2025, the Vietnamese men's team will face Cambodia, Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia. The teams will compete in a round-robin format and be ranked.

According to the schedule of stage 1, coach Tran Dinh Tien and his team will enter the opening match against the host Philippines on July 9.

Then on July 10, 11 and 12, the team will meet Cambodia, Thailand and Indonesia respectively.

In stage 1, the team participated with 14 players: Dinh Van Duy, Nguyen Ngoc Thuan, Tran Duy Tuyen, Truong The Khai, Pham Van Hiep, Phan Cong Duc, Cao Duc Hoang, Nguyen Thanh Hai, Trinh Duy Phuc, Hoang Xuan Truong, Che Quoc Lo Vit, Nguyen Van Quoc Duy, Quan Trong Nghia, Pham Quoc Du.

In particular, setter Pham Van Hiep has returned after he did not compete in the 2025 AVC Nations Cup.

In this tournament last year, the Vietnamese men's team ranked last after 2 stages.

The SEA V.League 2025 tournament has important professional significance for the Vietnamese men's team and Southeast Asian teams to compete and accumulate in preparation for the 33rd SEA Games.
