The match was exciting and dramatic with a fierce score chase between the two teams who had met many times, in which the Vietnamese team lost to their opponents in the last 3 encounters. The personnel adjustments at the end of the first game when coach Tran Dinh Tien sent Quoc Du and Cong Duc onto the field brought about results, helping the Vietnamese men's volleyball team rise to win 25/23.

With high spirits, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team played explosively in the second set, with Nguyen Van Quoc Duy having an impressive series of serves that helped his team create a gap of up to 8 points (19/11). Subjectivity appeared in the way the Vietnamese team played, and immediately the Indonesian team rose up with a series of consecutive points, balancing 24/24. The main duo Quoc Duy and Ngoc Thuan shone again, helping the Vietnamese team rise to win 26/24 and create a gap of 2-0 against the reigning SEA Games champions.

Thus, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team will face the Taiwanese team in the 7th and 8th place match of the AVC Nations Cup 2025 volleyball tournament taking place today.
