The visit was organized to recognize and pay tribute to the contributions of artists in general and artists who participated in the revolution; artists who won the State Prize, Ho Chi Minh Prize, People's Artist, Meritorious Artist, who have worked and contributed to the development of literature and art in the city over the past 50 years.
The visit also demonstrated the deep concern of the city's leaders and the humane and affectionate policy of Ho Chi Minh City towards artists; promptly encouraged and motivated artists in difficult circumstances and encouraged collectives and individuals to carry out cultural and artistic activities well on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
Visiting the home of talented musician Tran Long An and female artist - Liberation Artist Phi Yen, comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong inquired about the health and spiritual life of the two veteran artists.
The conversations took place with full of emotions, sharing intimate feelings, hopes and expectations for the young generation to inherit the country's cultural and artistic traditions.

Musician Tran Long An is 82 years old this year. He said he had just been treated for a vestibular disorder, and the doctors and nurses were very concerned about his health. After a week, feeling his health was improving, he went home to recuperate.
The musician of famous songs A Lifetime, a Forest; Red Land Love of the Eastern Region; Starry City Night; Please Be a Street Singer… is still very clear-headed, maintaining a sincere and close speaking style, mixed with witty humor with everyone around him.
At the house of Meritorious Artist Phi Yen in An Phu Dong ward, Ho Chi Minh City, the female artist happily welcomed the delegation and introduced the house to worship Uncle Ho, generals and soldiers - artists who sacrificed for the country, which was built by the artist herself in the yard of her house. The female artist also erected a memorial stele for the Artists - Liberation Artistic Soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the resistance war against the US to save the country and died after the war.

Touched by the sincere, profound, affectionate way of life and the noble gesture of the female artist, comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong shared: "The city leaders appreciate her gesture, affection and responsibility towards the seniors. This is also a way to educate the tradition for those working in the arts and culture, so that they can understand more, share and feel the noble spiritual values."
The Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee also conveyed the words of the city's leaders, wishing Meritorious Artist Phi Yen good health and continued affection for the city's cultural and artistic workers, especially those who work as consultants, work directly, and those who educate the younger generation.
