Video: Overview of the Vietnam Military History Museum Project
The project to build a new Vietnam Military History Museum is being implemented in Tay Mo and Dai Mo wards (Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi ), located next to Thang Long Avenue, opposite the new urban area Vinhomes Smart City. The project is built on a land area of 74.3 hectares, of which the usable area is about 38.66 hectares, designed in a modern style with 4 above-ground floors and one underground floor.
The building is designed in a modern, simple style and creates an intuitive historical flow, in harmony with architectural lighting and natural light. The project uses a multimedia system, combined with a directional sound system so that visitors can freely interact, bringing a new experience.
This is a special project, invested by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, with a total investment of 2,500 billion VND.
At the end of August, through a site inspection of the construction items of the Vietnam Military History Museum (phase 1) and working with the relevant agencies, Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, requested the agencies to remove obstacles, focus all resources, and speed up the construction progress of the project.
According to the reporter's records, up to now, the rough part of the main building has taken shape, and some items are being urgently carried out by workers to ensure construction progress.
Outside area, some artifacts such as planes, tanks... have been transported to the display location.
Tanks and planes are carefully covered with tarpaulins to avoid dust from the construction site.
The project, once completed, will display 8 topics, 7 collections and 12 military specialties of the Vietnam People's Army. Outside the building, there will be military reconstruction works, large weapons displays... In phase 1, the museum will display 6 topics on historical processes, introducing the military history of Vietnam from the Hung Kings to the Ho Chi Minh era.
This is considered a meaningful project for both the past and the future, creating a highlight not only for the Army, but also for the Capital and the whole country. The project will contribute to promoting the history, culture, tourism, and socio-economic development of Hanoi, being an architectural highlight, harmoniously connecting and preserving the architecture and landscape of the area.
According to the plan, by June 30, 2024, the project will basically complete phase 1 and carry out preparations so that by the end of 2024, it can be operated, inaugurated, put into operation, and serve the domestic and international public.
