After 5 years of implementation, the project has created strong changes in the awareness and actions of the entire education sector. "The results of the project have made an important contribution to perfecting the national startup ecosystem," the Deputy Minister assessed.

Specifically, the rate of higher education institutions making entrepreneurship a compulsory or elective subject increased from 30% (in 2020) to 48% (in 2022); 75% of schools organized short-term training activities for students related to entrepreneurship...

To date, 60% of schools have established startup clubs in priority areas based on their training strengths. At the same time, 90 training institutions have arranged common spaces to support startups for students. Notably, 45 schools (accounting for 25% of training institutions) have established centers to support student startups.

The Deputy Minister said that the Ministry of Education and Training is preparing to finalize and issue a set of criteria for evaluating universities in terms of startups and innovation. This is an important measure to help the community evaluate the startup ecosystem in schools and the influence of schools on the community and society.

In addition to building and perfecting policies and mechanisms to support student startups, every year, the Ministry of Education and Training organizes National Startup Festivals for students, creating connections between the three entities of the state - schools - businesses.

This is also an opportunity for schools and businesses at home and abroad to exchange and discuss, on which students have the opportunity to perfect their startup ideas and business models, and receive evaluation from experts.

The Ministry of Education and Training cooperates with schools and localities to organize many student competitions with startup ideas that receive a lot of public attention.

Over the past 5 years, there have been a total of 1,670 student projects and 900 high school projects. Notably, 70% of the projects have products and 30% of the projects are ideas or products at the trial production stage.
