On the afternoon of February 23, Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 4, Department 6 (Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security ) invited the truck driver driving in the wrong direction on the highway to come in for questioning.
Previously, on the afternoon of February 22, a clip appeared on Facebook recording the image of a truck driving in the wrong direction on the Nghi Son - Dien Chau highway.
Immediately upon receiving information about the incident, Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 4 coordinated with relevant units to quickly verify and clarify the incident.
Upon verification, the driver driving in the wrong direction on the highway was Mr. Phan Van S. (born in 1975, residing in Luu Son commune, Do Luong district, Nghe An ).
At the police station, Mr. S. explained that he was working on the Dien Chau - Bai Vot expressway. At around 6:00 a.m. on February 20, he drove truck with license plate 37C-113.90 to the construction site, but due to a wrong turn, he went onto the Nghi Son - Dien Chau expressway. As soon as he realized he was on the wrong turn, he turned back to get off at the Dien Chau intersection to the construction site.
Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 4 issued an administrative violation report against driver S., revoked his driver's license for 7 months and detained his vehicle for 7 days.
