According to Newsweek magazine, instead of going on vacation to the beach, the world 's super-rich even fly into space to explore on vacation.

In April 2022, three passengers paid about $55 million each to travel to the International Space Station (ISS) on a SpaceX rocket.

Meanwhile, many millionaires and billionaires choose to vacation in Antarctica at a cost of about 100,000 USD per trip.

Buy a villa, private yacht

When not in the San Francisco Bay Area running his company Meta, billionaire Mark Zuckerberg often visits his 6,070-square-foot estate on the north shore of Kauai Island, Hawaii.

According to Business Insider , locals often see Meta surfing the waves off Kauai during the holidays.

In addition, billionaire Zuckerberg spent tens of millions of dollars to buy a super private real estate on the west shore of Lake Tahoe, between the states of California and Nevada.

Lake Tahoe is where billionaire Zuckerberg can enjoy boating and water sports during the summer months, and skiing during the winter.

Similar to Zuckerberg, Amazon boss Jeff Bezos also built a house in Maui (Hawaii). Specifically, Mr. Bezos bought a separate villa located in southern Hawaii in October 2021 for 78 million USD for vacation.

But since stepping down as CEO of Amazon, Mr. Bezos has purchased a 420-foot superyacht. This superyacht is expected to be one of the most luxurious yachts ever created by man, according to Business Insider .

While many other billionaires and millionaires travel by private jet, supercar, or yacht, Mumbai real estate tycoon Niranjan Hiranandani chooses to travel by local train.

The 73-year-old co-founder and CEO of the Hiranandani Group shared a video of his train journey in late 2023.

In the caption, Hiranandani explained that he chose the train to save time and avoid Mumbai’s notorious traffic jams. He also called the train journey a profound experience.

Since being shared, Mr. Hiranandani's video has attracted more than 22 million views. In the comments section, many users praised the Mumbai billionaire for using public transport instead of using supercars and private jets to go on vacation.
