Recently, Hanoi city announced the results of the additional inventory of relics in the period 2015 - 2025, bringing the total number of relics inventoried in the area to 6,489. Every road and street corner of the capital bears the traces of time, the depth of tradition and national identity.
In Long Bien district - a locality with more than 100 relics - the work of preserving and promoting heritage values is always focused on by the government and people.
Ms. Le Thi Huong (Head of the Department of Culture - Science and Information of Long Bien District, Hanoi) said that Long Bien has been ranked as one of the 10 national relics by the city. Long Bien District always focuses on investment, conservation, and prevention of encroachment on relic space, while integrating it into traditional education programs for the younger generation. This is also part of the strategy for developing cultural industries associated with local tourism.

In the past 5 years, 10 relics in the area have been ranked at the national level. Protecting relics is closely linked to traditional education, developing cultural industry and sustainable tourism .
Typically, two relics, the Forest Temple and Gia Thuong Communal House in Ngoc Thuy ward, have just been recognized as city-level, becoming the pride of local people.
According to statistics, Hanoi currently has 1 World Cultural Heritage - Thang Long Imperial Citadel, 22 special national relics, more than 1,200 national relics and over 1,500 city-level relics.
Dr. Nguyen Lan Anh (Head of Cultural Heritage Management Department - Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports) said that the inventory of relics is not only a statistical move, but also a foundation for classification, proposing ranking dossiers, thereby preserving and promoting heritage. Relics are a great resource to help develop cultural industry, especially cultural tourism, the spearhead economic sector of the capital in the coming years.
Today's relic space not only preserves the past, but also becomes a place to educate, create and nurture love for the homeland in the young generation.
