The People's Council of Hai Duong province approved regulations on agricultural production support levels to restore production in areas damaged by natural disasters and plant pests in the province at the 29th session held on the morning of February 20.
Support is applied to individuals, families, farm owners, cooperative groups, cooperatives, cooperative unions, small and medium enterprises (excluding agencies, units, and enterprises of the People's Armed Forces) in Hai Duong province whose cultivation, forestry, livestock, and aquaculture activities are damaged by natural disasters and plant pests.
The Resolution stipulates the level of support for crops and forestry damaged by natural disasters and plant pests; the level of support for aquatic products damaged by natural disasters (including aquaculture, production, and breeding of aquatic products), and livestock damaged (dead or missing) by natural disasters.
Some high support levels are rice areas after 45 days of planting are supported with 10 million VND/ha if the damage is over 70%, seedling areas with damage over 70% of the area are supported with 30 million VND. Seedlings in the nursery stage are propagated from materials exploited from parent trees, parent tree gardens and slow-growing tree groups, with a nursery period of less than 12 months old and damage over 70% of the area are supported with 60 million VND/ha.
Semi-intensive and intensive aquaculture in ponds (lagoons, tunnels) is supported with 60 million VND/ha of damaged farming area.
The Provincial People's Council has approved support for aquaculture farmers in tanks, cages, and rafts at the rate of 30 million VND/100 m3 of damaged aquaculture volume. Other forms of aquaculture are supported with 15 million VND/ha of damaged aquaculture area.
Poultry farmers (chickens, ducks, geese, pigeons) up to 28 days old who suffered losses will be supported with 23,000 VND/head, over 28 days old will be supported with 38,000 VND/head; pigs up to 28 days old will be supported with 550,000 VND/head, over 28 days old will be supported with 1.06 million VND/head, sows and boars in exploitation will be supported with 3 million VND/head.
Notably, small and medium enterprises (excluding agencies, units, and enterprises of the People's Armed Forces) in Hai Duong province with activities in cultivation, forestry, livestock, and aquaculture that are damaged by natural disasters and plant pests are also supported at the above levels.
Support funds from the central and local budgets, the Disaster Prevention Fund and other legal sources.
