South Korea seeks flexible measures to dialogue with medical community

On March 25, South Korean Health and Welfare Minister Cho Gyu-hong said that following President Yoon Suk Yeol's directive to flexibly handle administrative procedures for trainee doctors, the ministry has begun practical steps to consult with political parties to have an open dialogue with the medical community to find appropriate solutions to overcome the current deadlock.

Speaking at a meeting of the National Disaster and Safety Committee (CDC) at the Sejong Government Complex , Cho Gyu-hong said that he will make every effort to engage in dialogue and persuasion to quickly end the conflict with the medical community. The agency will discuss with political parties how to flexibly handle administrative actions against young doctors who quit their jobs to minimize disagreements.
