The conference honored 15 groups and 50 advanced typical individuals for the period 2020-2024, representing the spirit of dedication, creativity and perseverance of workers, contributing to the "complete puzzle" for the overall picture of "half a century" of building and developing Petrovietnam .

The emulation movement has become a guiding light in difficult times.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Le Ngoc Son, General Director of Petrovietnam, said: The period of 2020-2024 is a difficult and challenging but also very glorious journey for the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Group. The global financial crisis and economic recession, the prolonged sharp decline in oil prices, and the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic have greatly affected all production and business activities of Petrovietnam.
In the difficult context, the emulation movements have become a guiding light, a driving force for the employees of the entire Group to persevere, be creative, and overcome difficulties together. The entire political system has joined in and created a combined strength to carry out and exceed the assigned political tasks and planning targets.
Over the past 5 years, the Group has successfully completed 12/12 targets set by the Party Congress for the 2020 - 2025 term, many targets were completed 1-2 years ahead of schedule, many targets set new records. This is unprecedented in the Group's 50-year history. Thousands of ideas, initiatives, and creative solutions have been applied, bringing in thousands of billions of VND in profit, contributing to improving the productivity, quality, and efficiency of Petrovietnam's production and business.

Compete to innovate, save tens of thousands of billions of dong
In the past 5 years, movements such as "Good workers, creative workers", "Competition to complete annual management plan targets", "Competition: Safety - Quality - Efficiency", "Join hands and hearts to compete in production and business", "Competition to practice thrift, fight waste, no unsafe working days and hours", "Competition to build Oil and Gas Culture" and especially the program "Petrovietnam Innovation" have aroused the movement of scientific research competition, innovation, promoting initiatives and technical improvements of Petrovietnam workers.

The Group's Trade Union has also effectively launched many typical emulation movements such as: Program "01 million initiatives - efforts to overcome difficulties, creativity, determination to win the COVID-19 pandemic"; Movement "Emulation on key Oil and Gas works and projects"; "75 thousand initiatives to overcome difficulties, develop"...
In particular, the emulation program "Oil and Gas Innovation" has truly become a highlight. The strong influence of the program has aroused the creative spirit of employees throughout the system, contributing to encouraging practical initiatives, accompanying the unit to improve production and business efficiency. Creative products not only have professional value but also demonstrate the commitment and dedication of Petrovietnam employees.
As a result, in 2024 and the first 6 months of 2025, there were over 4,190 creative products registered on the system and are expected to bring in thousands of billions of VND in profit to the Group.
Petrovietnam workers are competing to work enthusiastically on the drilling rigs.
Patriotic emulation movements have aroused the spirit of solidarity and high determination, creating a series of impressive results. There are about 7,082 topics, initiatives and solutions recognized at the grassroots level, of which 1,491 topics and initiatives of great value are recognized and effectively applied at the unit and 100 initiatives are recognized at the Group level, with a total profit of about 11,418 billion VND.
Notably, in the patriotic emulation movement of Petrovietnam, many member units have conducted many valuable scientific researches, many valuable awards... Typically, the state-level award on "Solutions for applying science and technology to optimize the production process of Dung Quat oil refinery to improve the operational efficiency and competitiveness of BSR"; BSR's 2020 VIFOTEC Second Prize on "Solutions to optimize the operation of KTU workshop at a capacity higher than the design capacity to increase JetA1 fuel production output"; 2022 VIFOTEC First Prize on "Research, selection of solutions and development, application of technology to improve oil recovery coefficient for terrigenous sediments of oil fields in Cuu Long basin, Vietnam's continental shelf" (Vietnam Petroleum Institute); VIFOTEC First Prize 2024 for "Well completion kit design in complex oil and gas well repair work" (PVEP)...
Identifying emulation as a driving force for sustainable development, in the coming period, the Group will continue to promote the patriotic emulation movement with more diverse contents and forms. Special attention will be paid to the development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, promoting initiatives and solutions in management, operation and production and business activities towards the goal of high and sustainable growth, attracting and nurturing talents, practicing thrift and fighting waste.
