Dozens of homeless patients in Dong Nai are exempted from hospital fees

That is the information given by Mr. Le Dinh Hanh, Head of Social Work Department ( Dong Nai General Hospital) at the seminar celebrating the 8th anniversary of Vietnam Social Work Day organized by Dong Nai General Hospital on March 22.

Poor patients received gifts from Dong Nai General Hospital

At the seminar, Mr. Le Dinh Hanh said that the Social Work Department of Dong Nai General Hospital was established in 2016. Since then, there have been many programs to help patients with difficulties when being hospitalized for treatment.

Specifically, the hospital has supported part of the medical examination and treatment costs for 1,623 patients with a total amount of nearly 2 billion VND; supported food expenses for 356 people with an amount of 138 million VND.

In particular, the hospital has supported all hospital fees for 29 homeless patients with a total amount of nearly 500 million VND.

From October 2023 to present, the Social Work Department has coordinated with benefactors to organize 20 gift and cash giving sessions for patients in difficult circumstances with a total amount of over 400 million VND.
