According to universities' forecasts, the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday schedule will be about 2 weeks on average.

In particular, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade's holiday schedule lasts 28 days, from January 20 to February 16, 2025.

According to the school leaders, the above Tet holiday schedule is to help students, staff, lecturers, employees, and workers have time to rest and restore their working capacity; avoid peak days before Tet with expensive travel costs and traffic overload, especially for those who are far from home.

According to the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs , the official Tet holiday schedule is from Monday, January 27, 2025, which is December 28, the year of the Dragon, through December 29 and the 3 days of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd of Tet, which is the end of Friday, January 31, 2025.

The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs explained that according to Clause 1, Article 112 of the Labor Code, employees are entitled to 5 days off with full pay during the Lunar New Year.

However, immediately before the 5 official holidays are 2 weekend days, Saturday and Sunday, January 25-26, 2025, or December 26 and 27 of the lunar calendar.

After the official holidays come the next 2 weekends, Saturday and Sunday, February 1-2, 2025.

So in fact, the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday will start from Saturday, January 25, 2025 to Sunday, February 2, 2025 (ie the end of January 5, At Ty year).
