\nAt noon on December 3, local authorities had an initial report on the fire at Khe Tre market (Nam Dong district, Thua Thien - Hue province) that occurred early this morning.
\nAccording to the leader of Nam Dong District People's Committee, the fire broke out at around 3:40 a.m. at a stall in Khe Tre market. Later, traders discovered the fire and reported it to the market management board and authorities.
\nUpon receiving the news, the authorities mobilized 9 specialized vehicles and 70 firefighters; 190 people from the district and commune police, part-time police and civil defense forces... participated in extinguishing the fire.
\nIn addition, other forces such as soldiers, militia, officials, civil servants and people were mobilized to participate in fire fighting and help traders evacuate goods.
\nBy around 7:30 a.m. the same day, the fire was basically under control. According to statistics, 2,180 square meters of Khe Tre market were burned down; 335 stalls and kiosks were burned; no human casualties were reported.
\nAccording to the leader of Nam Dong District People's Committee, currently, professional forces are examining the scene to investigate and clarify the cause of the fire.
\nAfter the investigation, authorities will mobilize forces to clean up the scene and assist traders in overcoming the consequences of the fire.
\nLocal authorities continue to count the losses of small traders and promote and mobilize them to overcome difficulties and stabilize their thinking.
