iOS 18 brings new messaging features to iPhone

Báo điện tử VOVBáo điện tử VOV11/06/2024

The iOS 18 Messages app is considered a game changer for Apple thanks to its much better performance, especially the support for the RCS (Rich Communicating Support) messaging protocol that Android devices previously supported.

Not only that, if you use Messages regularly, you may know that you can press and hold on a message and then send a response instead of typing a response. By default, users can only respond to one of six responses: love, like, dislike, laugh, exclamation, and question mark. While the original six reactions remain the same, Apple has redesigned them by adding a little color. Additionally, users are no longer limited to six reactions. With iOS 18, they can react to messages with any emoji or sticker of their choice.

There are a few other handy features added to Messages in the latest update. One is delayed messaging, which lets users schedule messages to be sent ahead of time. One of the worst feelings is realizing you forgot to wish someone a happy birthday. Luckily, users no longer have to worry about facing embarrassing situations like this with iOS 18.

Users can also now emphasize what they're saying with new formatting tools Apple has added to Messages, including bold, italics, and strikethrough. And iOS 18 lets them express themselves with dynamic text effects, including splashes, ripples, explosions, flares, and more.

Finally, Apple also announced that iPhone 14 and later users can now send end-to-end encrypted messages over Satellite, so if you ever find yourself without Wi-Fi and Cellular Data, you can still communicate with your loved ones.
