Israel's Tourism Ministry estimates that around 40,000 foreign tourists are stranded in the country after its airspace was closed indefinitely due to tensions with Iran.

The ministry said it has established an online support facility called a "virtual office" that operates 24/7 to provide information services to tourists in Israel through digital platforms and tools. Support languages include Hebrew and English.

The Ministry of Tourism said it is working closely with stakeholders in the tourism industry, including hotels and other accommodation establishments, to assist tourists with accommodation and other essential needs.

A Tourism Ministry spokesman confirmed that foreign tourists are being offered the option of leaving Israel through the land border crossings into Jordan and Egypt, which remain open.

The Israel Airports Authority announced on June 15 that, following a decision by security agencies, Israeli airspace will remain closed to civilian flights.

Therefore, all flights to and from Ben Gurion airport are canceled until June 17, flights with destinations in Europe will also be canceled until June 23./.
