Khanh Hoa continuously welcomes international visitors by ship

(Fatherland) - Norwegian Spirit cruise ship carrying 1,200 international passengers docked at Cam Ranh port, Khanh Hoa province, on a tour of Vietnam on the morning of January 24.


At around 7am, the Norwegian Spirit ship entered Cam Ranh international port, carrying a group of 1,200 passengers of many nationalities.

After docking, the tourists divided into many groups, some chose to visit Nha Trang. While many tourists took a tour to visit Nui Chua National Park in Ninh Thuan province, went to Wyndham Grand KN Paradise Cam Ranh resort, or took a shuttle bus to freely visit and shop. The ship is expected to leave at 3:00 p.m. the same day to continue its journey to Phu My port (Ba Ria - Vung Tau).

Norwegian Spirit is a large, modern ship that regularly makes exploration trips in many seas around the world . The ship was built in 1998, most recently refurbished in 2020, 268 m long, 37 m wide, with a capacity of nearly 2,000 passengers and more than 900 crew members.

This is the second cruise ship to arrive in Khanh Hoa in 2025. Three days earlier (January 21), the Oceania Riviera cruise ship also carried 1,200 international passengers to Cam Ranh port on a tour of Vietnam. It is expected that by April this year, the province will welcome 9 trips with about 14,650 passengers.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Director of Khanh Hoa Province Department of Tourism, this is a positive signal for the recovery and development of Khanh Hoa's cruise tourism activities, contributing to the success of the province's tourism industry./.

In 2024, Khanh Hoa welcomed 28 international cruise ships with 57,816 tourists coming ashore for sightseeing. In the whole year, the locality welcomed more than 10.8 million overnight guests, including nearly 4.8 million international visitors. Tourism revenue was more than 53.1 trillion VND.
