On December 15 and 16, the LaAn Ultra Trail 2023 running race will take place, celebrating the 130th anniversary of Da Lat's formation and development (1893 - 2023) with over 2,000 domestic and foreign athletes participating; the race restores the 100 km running route.
More than 200 athletes participate in LaAn Ultra Trail 2023
This is the first time the LaAn Ultra Trail race has been opened at Da Lat Train Station with its unique architecture, ranked as a National Historical and Cultural Monument. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Viet, Head of the Organizing Committee of LaAn Ultra Trail 2023, said that this year the race will have distances of 10 km, 35 km, 55 km, 75 km and restore the 100 km distance through beautiful forest roads in Da Lat City and Lac Duong, Dam Rong and Lam Ha districts ( Lam Dong ).

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong, the restoration of the 100km running track is necessary after the authorities spent a lot of time assessing the safety of the track following the accident at the Dalat Ultra Trail in June 2020.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Hai, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, added that this is the first time LaAn has cooperated with Running Connect (Thailand) to improve the quality of the race from regional to international level; at the same time, applying the UTMB Index (Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc) scoring system for athletes. The race is recognized by the most prestigious scoring system in the world, UTMB Index, allowing athletes to qualify to participate in ultra-long distance races around the world .
More than 2,000 athletes participate in LaAn Ultra Trail
The tournament has the participation of many athletes who have won high prizes in domestic and international Ultra Trail races such as: Quang Tran, Do Trong Nhon, Le Thi Hang; Sange Sherpa (French nationality living in Nepal), Valentin Oreange (France)... The organizing committee applies advanced technology, attaching a positioning chip to each BIB worn by each athlete. The monitoring and management team updates the status and specific location of each athlete in real time from the tournament control center located at LaAn Retreat, to have an accurate and timely support and rescue plan for the athletes participating in the tournament.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tan, a member of the organizing committee of LaAn Ultra Trail 2023, added that this year's race contributed to building a bridge in Pang Tieng village, Lat commune, Lac Duong district, making travel more convenient for people in remote areas. The race participants, from the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, donated 50 bicycles and some scholarships to help children in remote areas of Lac Duong district have the means and conditions to go to school.
