According to The Sun, an unexpected accident happened to Russian boxer Ivan Parshikov, 29 years old right after he won a match in a boxing tournament held in Thailand. The rare incident caused panic among fans and raised concerns about safety conditions at this new type of sporting event.

The former ONE Championship star extended his professional record to 16-5 in his latest bout, but his joy quickly turned to fear. While celebrating his victory, Parshikov climbed the ring ropes and prepared to jump into the strange pool surrounding the ring. However, when his hand touched a light bulb installed near the ring, he was suddenly electrocuted.

The horrifying moment was captured as the Russian fighter's body went completely stiff before collapsing to the floor. Fortunately, Parshikov was able to quickly stand up and continue his jump into the water as if nothing had happened.

The incident came amid a number of social media posts falsely claiming that Parshikov had been killed or seriously injured. However, he was later examined by medical staff and confirmed to be in a stable condition.

Not only was he not too worried, Parshikov also posted a video of his accident on Instagram and shared it with a humorous attitude. Fans were also quick to leave many comments, both worried and sarcastic.

One wrote: "Oh my god, you're so lucky to be alive, man." Another joked: "Is there a new nickname for this battle?"

Another comment said: "He won in the ring, but walked out of the ring a loser."

Meanwhile, a more humorous fan commented: "He's like a spare battery, fully charged for the whole evening."

Parshikov even continued to share videos of his recovery using a TENS therapy device – a device that uses electrical pulses to relieve pain and stimulate muscles. While it’s unclear what the long-term effects of the electric shock will be, fans are hopeful that he won’t suffer any serious health problems.
