On the morning of May 6, many more banks simultaneously increased deposit interest rates for most terms.
Specifically, the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (BVBank) increased its deposit interest rates by 0.1 - 0.2 percentage points for terms of 1-12 months. The interest rates for terms of 1-2 months increased by 0.15 percentage points, to 3.1%/year and 3.2%/year, respectively.
Many banks increase deposit interest rates.
The 3-month term interest rate increased by 0.1% to 3.2% per year. The 4-5 month term increased by 0.15% to 3.3% and 3.4% per year. The 6-7 month term increased by 0.15% to 4.25% - 4.35% per year.
For terms of 8 - 11 months, this bank also simultaneously adjusted the increase by 0.2 percentage points.
For 12-month term, interest rate increased by 0.15%, up to 4.85%/year.
Meanwhile, Vietnam Construction Commercial Joint Stock Bank (CBBank) sharply increased interest rates by 0.35 percentage points for terms from 6 months to 36 months.
Specifically, the 6-month term increased by 0.35% to 4.85%/year. The 7-11 month term, the interest rate was also increased to 4.8%/year.
12-month term, interest rate returns to 5%/year, 13-36-month term has interest rate of 5.2%/year.
Notably, Sacombank has just adjusted its interest rate up by 0.5 percentage points for a 3-month term, to 3.2%/year.
For 1-2 month terms, interest rates increased by 0.4 percentage points to 2.7% and 2.9%/year. Interest rates for 4-5 month terms were also listed at 2.8%/year after increasing by 0.3 percentage points.
The latest 6-month term deposit interest rate is 4%/year, 7-8 month term 3.9%/year, 9-month term 4.1%/year and 10-11 month term 3.9%/year, all up 0.3%.
Interest rate for 12-month term is 4.9%/year, 13-month term is 4.7%/year, both increased by 0.2%.
