On June 26, a media channel affiliated with Lebanon's Hezbollah force reported that the armed group shot down an Israeli drone that flew into Lebanese airspace .

“A short time ago, an IDF drone crashed in Lebanese territory during a routine operation,” the Israeli military (IDF) said.

The Hezbollah media office said the drone was shot down near the town of Zibqin in southern Lebanon.

According to Israel's Ynetnews website, over the past 40 years, Hezbollah has grown from a small militia group into the largest and most well-equipped non-state armed force in the Middle East.

Armed and financed by Iran, Hezbollah dominates Lebanese politics and serves as a powerful arm for Tehran to extend its influence across the Muslim world.

Representing the Shi'ite Muslim community, Hezbollah has been praised by Muslims for its tireless efforts against Israel. However, recently, this force has been criticized on many fronts./.
