Invitation to participate in the report writing contest on Binh Thuan Newspaper in 2024

To celebrate the 48th anniversary of the founding of Binh Thuan Newspaper (October 27, 1976 - October 27, 2024), the Editorial Board of Binh Thuan Newspaper launched a reportage writing contest from now until October 10, 2024, summarizing and awarding prizes on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the founding of the Newspaper on October 27, 2024.

Contest rules are as follows:

1. Content

Reflecting all practical issues with the lives of Binh Thuan people in all fields of economy , society, culture, education, national defense - security... Changes in life, in the construction and development process, typical examples, new factors, new trends including challenges and obstacles on the development path of the province. Unique, new and interesting people and events in Binh Thuan province. Characters, especially typical events related to Binh Thuan homeland.

2. Contestants:

All professional journalists, collaborators, and writers inside and outside Binh Thuan province.

3. Prizes:

- First prize: 6 million VND (one prize)

- Second prize: 4 million VND/prize (two prizes)

- Third prize: 3 million VND/prize (two prizes)

- Consolation prize: 2 million VND/prize (three prizes)

4. Judging criteria:

Based on the main factors: Current, unique, novel, humane and vivid; Received the attention of many readers and had social effects after publication.

5. Specific regulations:

- Contest entries must not exceed 2,000 words (each entry) and must have at least 2 photos describing the details and content. In case the event, issue... has a lot of content, interesting details, it can be written in a maximum of 3 installments. The works selected through the preliminary round will be published in the regular Binh Thuan Newspaper and the Binh Thuan Weekend Newspaper (and updated on the Binh Thuan Electronic Newspaper) and will be paid royalties according to the current price frame of Binh Thuan Newspaper. The contest organizers will not return unused entries.

- Contest duration: From the date of posting this notice to October 10, 2024. The judging, summary, and award ceremony are expected to be held on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the founding of Binh Thuan Newspaper. The editorial office will accept entries from the day after posting this notice.

Authors must clearly state on the envelope or email: "Entry to the 2024 Binh Thuan Newspaper Report Writing Contest".
